My grandparents live about 30 minutes away from me and I get to see them often. Usually, we got out for a Sunday dinner or to visit - but, a lot of the time we are just "too busy" to get out there. They are in their eighties and live on quite a few acres of land in their house that they built. They are of the "greatest generation", the men and women who lived through the depression, fought in WWII and other wars and lived through sixties. Anyhoo, they are the greatest example of class and I do enjoy hanging out with them. But last week I took the time to just enjoy time with them. It was a particularly warm and beautiful day and we just walked around their property enjoying the sun and conversation. It was so nice to get away from my cell, the internet & all other distractions - it made me realize that I needed to take time to just sincerely "get away from it all" and enjoy the day! It was such a sweet and relaxing day and my grandmother picked some of her daffodils for my birthday bouquet!
