I've got a few things to do today so this will be quick:
Scheduled a hair cut for Friday - going to the bob/bangs deal - I think it will be a good change. I really don't like when the stylist schedules you for a specific person and then changes without telling you - for some reason this aggravates me. Although, I've never been to the place and will probably love the person!
I'm not so sure when GINORMOUS leather satchels from designers by the name of Coach, Louis Vuitton and Dolce and Gabbana became popular in high school! Like, seriously? Yeah. I can't believe what some teenagers are walking around with during the school day. Geeezzzz.
I can't stand when people can't "Deal" with things. The small things in life. Basically one job I've applied for requested an online skill/work survey for my references. Long story short, (which I think survey has maybe 15 questions and takes oh, probably less than 5) and I've emailed my references the link. Twice. I had an old professor email me and basically criticized me for not warning her of "changing my name" and how she assumed it was spam b/c she didn't recognize the name. Ok, probably should have warned people, but I assume people can figure things out. Apparently, they can not. Grr. The point is, why is this stressing that person out, to the point of sending me 2 huffy emails. No way dude, let it go and I'll gladly take you off the list!
P is a good driver but his little sporty convertible is not sufficient for the snow and he had a little scare on his commute yesterday b/c he's never really driven in snow! This has and probably will continue to stress me out while we have bad weather. And then, we went out to eat to a really nice steak restaurant with his co-workers last night. You know, the kind where you order the steak and then the sides separately to the table. Of course, I ordered Ahi Tuna, don't know why - I mean I enjoy steak. Had that and lovely martini. And their creamed spinach was heavenly! God, it was like mac n cheese with spinach. And then I'm having the internal dilemma (when there is an entire plate of it left and it's obvious no one else is touching it) can...I just...inhale that entire thing, would it be rude?? Of course I didn't but it was a thought. And as we don't eat steak much, P had a good sized one - medium rare. Well, that didn't agree with him the moment he got home, so he got up late for work and is sticking to bananas, yogurt and crackers today. Poor guy!
Ok, that's it for now!

I laughed when I read your post about the designer bags in high school! I am up for adoption if these people will buy their kids really expensive bags! I had a Louis Vuitton, but it was the small pochette. It was a gift from my now in-laws. I loved it, but didn't get another LV for a long time. I hope your hubby feels better!
Was it Ruth's Chris? I love their side dishes - including the creamed spinach. Yum.
My beloved babysitter is one of those teens carrying a huge Coach. It is actually a very cute purse and in her case I don't mind it because I know she worked to earn the money to buy it herself. (mostly at our house!)
The girls at the prep school where DH teaches have to wear uniforms, but they all tend to have ridiculous accessories - not just $400 bags, but Coach or Gucci shoes as well. They also tend to drive themselves to school in cars that are nicer and newer than mine. I sure miss the days when my parents bought me nice things (though my car was a sensible Honda) and the word budget was not part of my vocabulary.
The designer stuff high school girls carry is RIDICULOUS! I know a mom that bought her daughter $400Chanel sunglasses for Christmas...she is fourteen!
When I was fourteen I bought my sunglasses at Rite Aid!
I laughed too! Sorry, but I worked my butt off for my first "designer" purse, so seeing high schoolers wearing the same purse and North Face fleece as me, has me steaming. There's another - North Face fleeces. It was a big deal when I got these things - 2 years ago! :)
