TGIF

What to do when TomTom gets you lost? I've realized we have become extremely too reliant on GPS/TomTom/technology.

Example: Yesterday I had a "meeting" (def. not an interview but meeting with someone about teaching perhaps in the future - not really too exciting, but what I expected. And I know I shouldn't say this, but the person didn't give me a speck of enthusiasm and really put a damper on my impression of the place...but I digress) which was an easy drive. Heck, I looked at it on Mapquest and though to myself, ehhh, I'll take TomTom just in case. Seriously (and I don't know why) Tom had me swinging around through a neighborhood (a very scary lock your doors and take DOWN your TomTom neighborhood) when I could have stayed on the original road, looked UP and SEEN the darn place. Instead of racing around, cursing at TomTom and getting there almost late.

Anyway, I have some vague possibilities for part time jobs I'd like to try out - so good job vibes this way would be SUPER appreciated!

In other news, we are taking a jaunt down South to visit friends, family and P doing work things. He had to go and we thought we would make a trip of it for 5 days! I'm thrilled I get to see everyone b/c this was a little unexpected. Woohoo, just in time for my birthday!

I wish I could say we had great plans for the weekend but probably just the same old. P is putting in a lot of hours at work and just wants to rest on the weekend, which I totally understand. We usually "hibernate" during the winter weekends and then go out, weekend trip and do fun things in the summer/spring.

I've always thought it would be stimulating and sophisticated to live in D.C. and be among the Washington political lifestyle. All of the preppy political conversation (and shopping!) Oh my!

My political crush (whether or not I agree with him) is Tucker Carlson. Always with the bowties - I think he's adorable!

I have lived in DC for almost three years now and absolutely love it! If you need any information on where to look, let me know.

Good vibes being sent! Tucker is such a cutie....I hated that he was kicked off of DWTS so early!

I totally agree, sometimes GPS gets you more lost than if you would have just drove around looking for the place. I never been to DC, but it seems like pretty cool town. I too always had a bit of a crush on Tucker Carlson.

For a girl that knows about WH in Clemson, I don't see NEARLY enough orange on this blog...

I took a couple of my kids to DC for spring break 3 years ago, and he was seriously my only celebrity sighting. He was coming out of ESPNzone when we were walking in. And he wasn't wearing a bowtie. I was so disappointed.

It does seem like the gps gadgets don't work sometimes, which can be frustrating!
