Tidbit Tuesday

I realized I haven't really commented or posted on celebs or my favorites shows - so here is a post dedicated to random thoughts & opinions about pop culture:

1. Madonna creating a line of clothing for H&M, I'm curious. I don't know about yall but I've been to H&M a few times (some in Europe, some here) and I get so excited when I walk in, thinking oh, I can pick up some fun trendy cheap stuff - but they DON'T fit, at least my bottom, they don't! Anyway, I hope Madge does a lacey glove throwback! ha.

2. Thank goodness Britney Spears is still in rehab and now she has bulimea - bless her heart! And then maybe you have heard that there is a video surfacing that "might get her kids taken away", but I'm not so sure how she still has them! I would think social services would step into family situations a lot earlier, just from her pictures that were all over the internet.

3. New show, "The Agency", I've caught a few episodes of it - reminds me of a harsh "Top Model", but the main British chick is pretty damn funny - although I hate that harsh criticism for those girls' self esteem. It is pretty refreshing to see her be so frank and honest. I'm not sure if this will be a favorite though. I wanted to catch that show, "The Riches", just to see what thats all about!

4. Make fun of me if you will (because FI does & insists I have the mentality of a 15 year old for watching) The Hills. I love this show. Period. Call it a fantasy escape b/c I would kill for the clothes & the job, but i do. I love Lauren - at least she tries to remain somewhat moral and with integrity in LA - good for her! And her clothes...i love love love her style, headbands, great flats and adorable dresses that I realize are sometimes from Anthropologie! ok, enough, I need to get off my TRL tirade.

5. Celeb baby families - Brangelina, Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale, TomKat & Suri - they are all so damn glamorous with their adorable children, i love it and I think I'm subconsciously tricking myself into thinking that FI & I will too, be that glam when we have kids - bad idea, i know! And I can't quit looking at paparazzi pics of them & and their children - horrible, awful but I just can't. I probably should have given up celebrity gossip for Lent, but then who would I gossip about?!

Sidenote: Little annoyance here. Our friends our throwing us this great engagement party - yay! So happy. Well, everyone has to drive to get there b/c they are hosting at their house which is at least an hour away from all the guests. Fine, well, we realize that there will be some drinking involved (more than some probably) and we don't want people to have to drive home. Since the town is in the middle of nowhere, there isn't a Holiday Inn or Hampton - so we are resorting to the 10 B&Bs and one bigger, family owned hotel. But, basically, our friends didn't think to reserve a block of rooms, so now we are in charge of getting the last five rooms, having our friends call us and say hey! we are coming from Charleston, finding rooms for them in another B&B and now, we have to find a room for ourselves. Now, we are going to try to get into town early to direct and help all of our guests find their respective places. You get the picture, and I find it aggravating that we are doing all of this work and stress when we are the guests of honor!
Sorry, just had to rant there.

The Hills is the best show ever. Except for Laguna Beach and The OC. I miss 90210...

The British girl on The Agency is entertaining because she's so rude and obnoxious! I couldn't imagine working with her like those people do. Makes for good TV though.

LOL! I always think that when hubby and I take our daughter out that we'll look super glamorous or at least have that coolly relaxed yet fabulous look about us - but in reality it goes more like me struggling to jam Charlotte's shoes onto her feet and wiping crumbs off of all of us!
