Weekend wrap-up

Friday was my birthday - woohoo! But of course, on my day off, I spent getting our Save the Dates in the mail - finally! Cooking, Cleaning, preparing for guests but enjoying a long pedicure & manicure :) My sweet guy (among some other presents) got my beautiful tulips and cream cheese frosting brownies (that were to die for!). Then we went out with my future SIL & her boyfriend and my brother and his girlfriend for sushi and drinks. It was so enjoyable to be around the people I loved and we just had a great time!
Saturday we did absolutely nothing and it was wonderful. I took a two hour nap (unheard of for me, I not much of a napper) and read this new book:I love all of the other Shopaholics and this certainly did not disappoint - I was cracking up! I would love to see Becky (the main character) in a movie or tv series - too funny.

This Little Piggy went to Prada: Nursery Rhymes for the Blahnik Brigade: You all this book is hysterical, a great gift for any fashionista friend, I'll give you an excerpt:

Saturday evening we just had a burger & beer grill out celebrating the warm weather. We even threw some corn on the cob, in the husk, on the grill - wonderful. It added great flavor to the corn, I think we will do that again when we grill out. Today is just a typical Sunday - church, cleaning, laundry, Wal-mart-trying to get everything done for the week!
