Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant?!?! Oh, dear. Is all I can say about that one. Oh my.
I'm about 6 years behind on this, but I have all of sudden become addicted to/began to understand the obsession with Law & Order. I think this week alone (being from Sunday on) I've watched about 6 or 7 episodes. Duh dun.
The quick version of my Tale of Tall Boots (b/c I'm tired & it has been a long day):
I've been looking for tall boots forever. They don't ( or haven't!) make tall boots for gals with wide calves. We are talking about some ATHLETIC calves, people. I've swam, played soccer and been active all my life...and inherited this lovely gene. But, I digress.
Thought I made some progress when I realized J.Crew made wide calf - and I laughed! Ha, too small for me.
{Oh, and PS. I hate Hate the boots that basically have a stretchy sock attached - no offense to some, they look great on some folks - not on me!}
Then, I tried these Eddie Bauer ones I blogged about...just, honestly, they fit (barely - prob. would have stretched them out) but the material looked cheap and Definitely not enough for me to spend about $200.00 on. Back they went and the search continued, half-heartedly, this semester.

I often read this blog, My Wardrobe Today, who has a few posts & reviews on wide calf boots. I read her blog, checked Zappos again and Voila! Here comes a pair that meets all of my needs & wants (darker brown leather - check! Buckles/equestrian but not tooo horsey look - check! Manageable heel - check! Wide-calf - check! Great reviews - check!) $192.00 on Zappos. Not so check!
So, While I'm clicking around, I check out Silhouettes, for their wide calf selection (which usually, honestly, looks too cheap for my taste) for $79.99 (half the price!).
Googled for free shipping and these babies were going to be mine!

All in all, happy day.
(ok, maybe not so brief) I'm off to bed!

I am in shock at that Jamie Lynn! Poor child - just hope she does a better job at parenting than Brit Brit. And yeah, Lynn, probably a good idea to halt that parenting book. :)
Good thing I'm not the only one who tries on wide calf and laughs when they don't zip!
Great score!!!
I have luck with Nine West boots - I have two pairs that work - barely but they work!
Great find on your boots!
www.duoboots.com. 21 different calf widths. Foot sizes 2-10. Great quality and top notch service. Sale on now. Need I say more?! I have four pairs (yes I do need them all!)and I can totally recommend them. I have searched high and low over the years and these are by far the best that I have come across. T x
