- Still in the throes of boxes and moving, living off of paper plates and cups (you never really appreciate china until those kinds of moments!) - although, I did eat out a quesadilla and chicken fingers/fries today for sustenance (not great for the diet...umm, what diet?). But, we are getting a lot of stuff done and I believe we recruited a few friends to help us load. We had originally planned to have both of our families help out (since they'd be in town anyway) - but really? We decided it would be nice to NOT hear two sets of criticisms as we leave. So, hopefully we can get that done. and thankfully we have hired movers to help us on the other end.

- Got myself the new haircut with some bangs and a few more inches shorter. I always underestimate how long my hair is...the hairdresser is like, "I think you want two inches" and I'm all, "hrrmm, hemmm, not sure" - when really, it is not that short. But long enough for a pony tail which is just a requirement in my life b/c I don't do my hair all the time. Anyway. I like it, updated and I needed it. Although, after I pointed out the new do' to my husband and was regaling my tribulations of "how short to go" and because, of course he isn't totally zoning out. Ever the practical one that he is, says "Well you do want to stay warm." Yes. Yes, I do. Thanks dear!

- I had a whole plan to make pumpkin bread, homemade hummus and pesto in cute Pyrex containers for our friends and family before we leave. Nah, not doing it. I really wanted to leave with a holiday gesture since we are just not doing gifts or really anything Christmas, but I just don't have the time and was getting a little ridiculous packing when I was yelling every 5 minutes - not the Cuisinart - I need it!"

- So, made the trip to Target and Old Navy this evening (because Christmas pjs are a tradition!) and I get so annoyed/depressed when I see the holiday hours at Old Navy are until 6 pm on Christmas Eve. Are you kidding?? I think I could do without my last minute fleece runs so that the workers could have Christmas Eve off. Just really bothers me.

- We watched Superbad this weekend. I felt superbad chuckling all the way through it because it is supercrude - But hysterical.

- Headed out to a friend's son's 1st birthday party. Poor guy had an ear infection and wasn't up for all of the people and PILE of presents but he was cute! I also didn't have to fix dinner since she had homemade lasagna and cupcakes. Sweet! Speaking of babies...my latest celebrity baby crush ( I mean, I figure it is ok until I get my own) Sam Woods, daughter of Tiger Woods:

Umm gorgeous. Can't wait to see more pics of her!

- I'm getting really excited about our move, our new place - all a step up and really just feels like it cements our life together. I'm also excited about getting to "fix up the place." We didn't really decorate our current place because we knew it was a temporary (like 3months) lease. Also, the fact that I will have TJMaxx, Restoration Hardware and Home Goods within driving distance of our new place is invigorating my excitement!

I'm jealous of the preppy bloggers that got together this weekend! Can't wait to see pics and hope everyone else is enjoying this week before Christmas and the Chilly weather! Next post: Tales of The Quest for wide calf high boots (yeah, those Eddie Bauer boots I posted about months ago and more...)

Good luck with the moving! It's a real pain, but you'll be so happy once it's all done!

Good luck with your move! Just remember to label everything! The first time we moved I only put the names of rooms on boxes and the result was frequent swearing and sweating as I dug through multiple boxes looking for whatever it was that I needed.
