Hump day

Because I'm busy, the house is a mess of boxes and piles (which is making me CRAZY) and I'm really really hoping that this little cold I have doesn't get any worse. I had a nice lunch yesterday re-connecting with a friend that I really didn't know if we would every hang out again. Good things.

Made a trip to Lowe's this morning and had one of those moments where you look around and realize how truly lucky you are - house over your head, food, family and health. We are blessed for sure.


1. What time do you get up this morning? I got up this morning at 8:45 - I was just feeling crappy and wanted to sleep in. Kinda wish I was still in bed!

2. If you could eat lunch with one person, who would it be? Besides my husband, it is nice to have a lunch with someone you haven't seen in awhile!

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? American Gangster - great movie!

4. What is your favorite TV show? Flip this House type show, The Soup, The Office, Scrubs - recently started watching Law & Order

6. What do you have for breakfast? Ha! Gatorade and a McDonald's Egg Mcmuffin (this was the early morning trip to Lowe's bribe) usually toast with a banana, a hardboiled egg or oatmeal - I love breakfast.

7. Who would you hate to be stuck in a room with? People I've been avoiding. Ha!

9. What is your middle name? Now it is my maiden name.

10. Beach, City or Country? I like the city for visit, love love love the beach but I enjoy the country too. Hmm, indecisive much!

11. Favorite ice cream? Cookies & cream or chocolate. Half-baked by Ben & Jerry.

12. Butter, plain or salted popcorn? A little butter and salted. Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks with a diet coke.

13. Favorite color? Pink, green, navy, light blue

14. What kind of car do you drive? Nissan Altima - woohoo. its becoming the doggie, put Goodwill stuff in the trunk carry all car. I can't say I'm not looking forward to getting a new one!

15. Favorite sandwich? Toasted turkey and cheese with pickles and mayo. Egg and cheese sandwich on wheat toast. Chicken salad. I love sandwiches and eat them all the time.

16. What characteristic do you despise? Rudeness and hypocrisy.

17. Favorite flower? Hydrangeas, dahlias and roses

18. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? Right now, my next dream trip is to Ireland. I really want to visit. Also, the West coast - we've haven't really explored out there yet.

19. What color is your bathroom? Right now, apartment appointed cream color but a green & blue striped shower curtain.

20. Favorite brand of clothing? J.Crew (why even say it?), Anthropologie for funkier pieces, Old Navy & Target for cheap stuff and Lands End for a good bargain. Banana Republic for work pieces.

21. Where would you retire to? Low Country SC or North Carolina

22. Favorite day of the week? Friday

23. What did you do for your last birthday? Hmmm. Good question, I think we went out to dinner and out for drinks. Wow, I can't believe I don't remember - this is going to bug me all day.

28. What fabric detergent do you use? Method cucumber scented.

29. Coke or Pepsi? Diet Coke - trying to cut back though...

30. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Morning, I usually wake right and up and am ready to start the day, it is annoying. That is confirmed by my husband who is Not a morning person.

31. What is your shoe size? 8

32. Do you have any pets? Yes, our newish dog Ralph who is hilarious and slightly neurotic.
