Reading: Richard Ford, Independence Day
*Btw, PPP, may I be invited to view, please?*
Not too much excitement to report. I had a lovely time wandering around the mall for a few hours, taking all the time I needed. I love my Mr. and he always accompanies me shopping (which is fun) but sometimes a gal needs her time to peruse, right? I hit up the make-up mecca, Sephora....love it, could spend hours there. I love the "sample" section and I picked up Philosophy's lip balm, "Kiss me all over," which I ended up enjoying. Also, picked up my favorite face coverage, "Smooth Operator," by Tarte. It is quite pricier than drugstore lines, but this bottle lasted me more than a year! So, what's your Sephora/department store splurge?

Banana Republic = loved. Fabulous, bright colors and great dresses. I loved their accessories and see myself incorporating a lot of those in my wardrobe.

This bag? Navy and Green preppy perfection. Made me wish I had a couple hundred dollars to drop on it!

Liked the style of this dress a lot, curious as to how it would look on, though.

This week was productive and now I'm going to start the monumental task of organizing wedding photos and framing them...should be fun to brighten up a dreary winter day! I think we are going to work on some (very late) holiday/change of address cards for our family. Since my recent new schedule change, I've been up around 6:30 every morning, entering the world of "news" talk shows in the morning. Let me tell ya, I'm pretty bored and tired of hearing about Hillary's "emotional" episode, Britney Spears & Dr. Phil's intervention and the Golden Globes being canceled. I mean, it is all interesting, but is it worth dragging out?? Not really. Weekend plans don't include anything specific, just hanging out and picking up stuff for the house. I'm thinking we need to go out for sushi - I haven't had it in awhile. Any good movies worth seeing at the theaters?
Does anyone else crack up at the T-Mobile commercial where the guy is trying to leave a voicemail, but keeps erasing them because they are too dorky, "Too creepy" and then at the end he mentions he's a "sweet salsa dancer" while showing his moves,? For some reason, I crack up all over at that ad.
I think it is supposed to snow but I'd like to be able to fit in a long hike/walk. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Is "smooth operator" foundation? I can't figure out what it is! LOL!
I love that green cardigan with the knot-buttons. I am all over gap & BR's navy and green spring lines. Even gap kids has some adorable things that I'm going to grab for Charlotte. Quite a departure from gap kids normal camo, glitter and generally sub-par toddler offerings!
I bought the green cardigan already, but only because I have a million things to go with it. I have not looked at the Spring lines too much though.
Sushi and a movie sounds good, if you have not seen Juno go see it, everyone I know that has seen it, wants to see it again, including the boy and I.
I have to agree with you on BR, loving the new things. I haven't bought much there lately but loving a few things right now (particularly the green & navy)!
Sephora and myself have a love/hate relationship... I seem to have no self control but the last visit I was good and only got the Smashbox primer that I love and a Frederic Fekkai brush. They have lots of good lines but don't have some of my favorite lines, I love one stop shopping and with Sephora, that is where I get annoyed!
Ladybug: Yes! It is foundation but has more moisturizer in it and isn't thick...great for my dry skin. Gap is stepping it up, I love all of the bright colors too!
Jilly: Juno! Forgot about it, but we've heard good things, now I'll have to put that in the plans.
TPP: I know what you mean, about not having everything and hunting it down elsewhere.
Totally agree about the spring BR line. When I was in Las Vegas I saw the cutest dress, with nautical rope as the straps. But it's not online or in my local store!
I was in BR (to RETURN, no purchasing!) this afternoon and LOVED it all. Great colors and patterns. When the shopping hiatus is over I'm high-tailing to BR! (my new shopping agenda includes adding a little more pattern to my wardrobe, I have a million basics and plain colors) and BR has some great colors and patterns this season. BR is great for work clothes, for me, and it's nice to give the JCrew a BREAK!
Also, loving Gap too, great to see them stepping up!
I need to get in the morning news loop...I don't know any of the headlines you mentioned!
Love the BR skirt and that sweater is way too cute!
I love Spehora but right now the nearest one is 1 hour away:(
Cute skirt!
Oh & I love that T-Mobile commercial too!
polo dresses, like that green one, are absolutely amazing. they are super-comfy and are usually pretty flattering.
Love some of your spring picks! Wish I had weather to go with them. =)
Can't stand morning shows--I rebelled with they did 45 on Don Imus and now I watch BBC America. Their news is real news....if you want real news, that is.
