Great Weekend

We had a nice break this weekend. I think the warmer weather helped our cabin fever (yes! out of the house). It is also so easy to get in the grind and routine of the week, that we forget to relax together. And so we did!

Went out for Indian food Friday night. Yummm. I'm definitely a wimp when it comes to spicy food, but I love Indian. I think we were so excited that we ordered a couple of appetizers and extra naan - but that was alright because we had a second Indian dinner of leftovers Saturday! I'm so glad we discovered this place because I will def. be back for some takeout!

We did a little driving/sight - seeing around the country side and lake. I got to see my first official
"frozen over" lake! And then I was like a little kid, exclaiming because we saw some kids out in the middle of the lake playing hockey. I'd never seen it before! I was like, "Drive closer!! I want to see" Then, of course, in our analysis - we wondered, how do they KNOW when they can go out there, isn't that dangerous...and on and on :)

Made a BIG trip to the grocery which was in dire need. We stocked up on everything. I love getting home, putting the groceries away and feeling all stocked up. Don't know why but I love being like, "Oh, you need some Feta - here's an unopened container!". Uhh, I'm a dork.

Anyhoo, made some low-fat and delicious brownies and I'm looking forward to making the spinach dip you all recommended later. Took Ralph for a loonnggg walk and it was super enjoyable to go outside not bundled up like skier.

That's about it for now!

Did you use the brownie recipe from Everyday Food? They had several low fat dessert recipes I want to try.

Actually, it was just a Betty Crocker box version that was "Low Fat" and turned out really well!
