Snowy Tuesday

I hate to sound boring but not too much to say here today. Our weekend was cold! (Not as cold as these bloggers, though). But still very cold for us, so we hit up the grocery for supplies and snuggled in all weekend. Oh, we went out for sushi Friday but the service was pretty bad and the sushi wasn't so great. And expensive. Bummer. Saturday, I took Ralph to the vet because I noticed his ears were bothering him and found out he had infections in both! Yikes. Of course, he wouldn't let them go anywhere near his ear, so they gave him anesthesia to clean them. And came home groggy. Poor guy couldn't walk straight and we had to laugh at him because he kept following us around the house like he was drunk. I also tackled the office, which was a mess of unopened boxes, and tried to get that somewhat organized. It's fun to open boxes and find useful items, like the dustbuster! Woohoo.

Oh and we've been watching Weeds, the Showtime series (since we have it on demand). It is pretty good, I enjoy a good series. And honestly, I can get addicted to a series, especially when I know I can watch more. Oh, Oscar nominations anyone? The only movie I've actually seen is American Gangster. Juno and Atonement are on my list now.

Speaking of the weather, this extreme cold/dry heat of recent is taking its toll on my skin. I have realllly dry skin and now it is becoming worse. I use Aveeno and Aquafor products but do you bloggers have any winter skin recommendations??

Off to watch Jon & Kate plus 8. You know why I like them? Because out of allllll the reality shows - they are real. They have children stress, life stress, money stress and they argue. And love each other. I like this. In other disturbing TV news (do I need to get a job much?? This is most I've watched TV in foreverrr), Rock of Love with Bret Michaels started season 2 with gusto. I mean of course, we can all make fun of it because it is so bad. My mother is watching it. Thinks its ridiculous and takes her mind off of everything. This completely disturbs me!!

I'll be back later - probably with a meme!

To help with dry skin, try using a humidifier in your living room and bedroom. It makes a HUGE difference.

Love Weeds! SO funny. I use Aveeno & Aquaphor too. I also like the Cerave products (avail. at CVS or other drugstores).

I have only watched Jon & Kate Plus * once because it kind of scared me. I am Kate & my husband is Jon & we have 2 kids. If all of a sudden I was pregnant with 6 moe, I think I would have to be committed!!!

I use Cetaphil moisturizing creme instead of lotion. It is wonderful. I get the big jar at Sam's.

What a great blog you have! I just moved to the midwest from Georgia and have finally gotten on top of my alligator skin that this freakishly cold weather gives us. I have been using the Arbonne serum and lotion combo. It works wonders!! We also sleep with a humidifier that puts out warm steam--after living in the south all of my life, I never thought I'd need a humidifier!
Anyway, great blog. I'll be back! Feel free to visit mine.
